Bitola's budget explained simply
The portal automatically analyses public procurements and flags situations that deserve attention. It is not an accusation. It only means the procurement has characteristics that, according to academic literature, are associated with higher risk.
Only one company submitted a bid. May be legitimate, for example specialised equipment, but competition is lower.
The payment is higher than the contracted price. A common reason is annexes or additional orders during the contract.
The same company is awarded money in several years. It may be the best at it, or it may mean weak competition.
A large portion of procurements goes to a small number of companies.

Increased prices for municipal services since January 2026
The prices below come from two newsrooms that reported on the council session of 29 January 2026. Public enterprise price lists are not published in the Official Gazette, so each amount carries a badge showing where it is confirmed.

The percentage depends on the base: 233 percent for two hours, 275 percent for three. Nezavisen Vesnik reports 250 percent per hour, and councillors in the session cite around 300 percent, including the SMS fee.
